Bosham Finn Festival

Is anyone else going to the Bosham Finn Festival? I’ve entered and they’re including Classic Finns. I’ve sailed from Bosham in a Finn open before and it’s a good jaunt up and down a number of creeks in the harbour. The discounted entry ends tomorrow.

Vanguard Finn for sale

GBR 499 is a 1981 (July) Vanguard built for Martin Van Leeuwen, the then Vanguard agent for Europe. He sailed it in a Gold Cup then it was returned to the factory to have a double floor fitted before being shipped to Europe. The double floor was the prototype for a kit to retrofit to earlier boats a...

Re: And now a Shearwater in France.

A very nice looking early Shearwater. By the time i started racing them in around 1973 there were very few bridge deck boats still being sailed.

Classic 14s at Rickmansworth

Rickmansworth Sailing Club are holding an open for Classic International 14s over the weekend of 12th and 13th June.
They are also holding a Firefly open on the Saturday.

We should be back out sailing then so if you have a 24 or a Firefly this should be a good event.

Re: Classic Finn rigging

John,
I’ve got a copy of Finnatics but it’s rather a lot to put on the site. We need to,find a way to host more stuff before new add a lot more. I’ve got the Finn lines and building plans to go on the site and we’re trying to find the best way to do that next.

Classic Finn rigging

I’ve added the Classic Finn rigging guides to the Classic Finn section on the British Finn site. It’s aimed at Needlespar rigs but I use very similar set up for my wooden mast.

I also note the fb pages get lots of irrelevant content on from around the world. Fb seems to be tak...
