Moff Crisis
So.. taking our Skol out yesterday, for the first time this year, in fairly sporty conditions at Kielder, just as I was about to launch, the mast pad exploded and the mast punched its way through the foredeck. The internal strut between hog and deck seems to have collapsed - nasty but thankfully not...

Banbury 2015
Howdy
Hoping to make Banbury in October - hopefully my first CVRDA event - can I ask a couple of questions?
What's the format of the event?
Do I need insurance cert/measurement cert etc.?
Any other advice?

Holt Builders Plate
Disaster....the 'Built by Jack Holt' builders plate damaged by over exuberant use of heat gun - anyone have an example I could beg/buy? About inch and half square and made of a strange white plastic - reads: Designed and Built by JACK HOLT Ltd. Embankment Putney SW15 ..not the end of the world as sh...

Moth Sail Insignia
Howdy Approaching re-launch of our scruffy low-cost Skol and have just turned my attention to the rig. Sail will have to do for now but as it stands it has no numbers and no sail insignia. Numbers I can do but where might I buy e a stick-on Moth insignia? Failing that could someone do me a paper tem...

Mast-head sheave box
Hi
Piecing together our Skol Mk. 2 - sail is currently held up by string so I'm putting in a halyard - would anyone happen to have an old masthead sheave box fitting that I can beg/borrow? Mast is around 25 mm dia
Many thanks

Re: My new Moff
"...not over built.." - you're not wrong! ;) Mast pad rotten - still wet, although have got most of it out and am hoping to epoxy in a new pad this w/e... Still mystified about the sail/hull number - any ideas where the number might be and how big - not really sure what I'm looking for!! sf

My new Moff
Hi Have recently taken ownership of a Skol Mk 3 for my son (14) previously owned by Angus of Auchterarder. We're hoping to get going fairly quickly at Kielder Water, but there are a couple of things that I need help on: 1. Transom - is there some timber behind the rudder fittings that I can bolt thr...

Re: a bygone age
Fabulous little film - I do the Port Bannatyne - Kyles - Tarbert run a couple of times a year and it's interesting to note how little has changed!

National 12 Bits...
Hi. I have donated N2689 to my 14 yr old and his mate to do up over the winter. She is in poor shape as shown in a recent ebay ad. They have no money but are hoping to scrounge some old bits to get her going. They need mast, sails, rudder, centreboard. If anyone has any of these that are unwanted/un...
