Thanks for the advice.
Removing the center board case seems like a big job but am willing to give it a go.
From what I can see the inside of the centre board case is bare wood, if I took it apart should I paint it or leave it naked?

fairing and filling [Citrene]
Hello Well most of the paint is off the hull. Now turning my thoughts to fairing and filling. A few questions.... What products do you guys use? I am familiar with using west system on grp but does wood require anything else such as a primer? Also looking for something cheaper. Should I remove all p...

Re: how do you manage a restoration project?
Some good advice there. Cheers
Chris, only buy stuff as you need is a great idea. I keep buying stuff off eBay cos I think it might be useful. My latest purchase being a spinnaker pole, which I must be at least a year away from actually being able to use it!

Thanks for all the answers.
Interested in finding out more about drum kickers, Googleing drum kickers just gets you percussion accessories!
I hope more will become clear when I get her in the water, when ever that might be!

which event should I go to?
I would like to go to a CVRDA event this summer but I I'm not sure which one. There is no chance of Citrene being ready this season, although Bosham might be possible if I get my finger out. I just want to get the chance to look at other Peagaus boats or similar type ones so that I know what I shoul...

who fancies a game of What's This?
Finally got the chance to fully rig Citrene today. Put up mast single handed and then played with a sails and rig tension. Managed to answer many questions about how she goes together, but a few bits are still a mystery 1) what's this tube mounted on the boom? https://www.flickr.com/photos/129843684...

Ok so the bailer repair is on hold until I can source some ply and enlist a friend to help turn her over In the meantime, now my scrappers and heat gun have arrived, I plan to tackle the next big job which is removing epoxy and paint from the inside of the boat. So here is my question Is there a ris...

Re: Tools
mmmmm..... an old plane I would certainly consider, although just because it was old doesn't necessarily make it good. An old jigsaw, I would feel less comfortable with. Jigsaws have really improved over the years and there is such a big difference between the cheap amateur ones and decent pro ones...
