A New Group for older Merlin Rockets

For those with older Merlin Rockets, woodies and early GRP there is a new facebook group of enthusiasts. CVDRA Merlin Rockets (or any one who loves Merlin Rockets) are welcome to join.

Can someone please enlighten me as to from whom Ampreg 21 can be purchased?

I've googled it and just come up with gurit websites and no suppliers.

Many thanks

My old NSM1 'Lucky Strike', the original, £600 on the merlin website www.merlinrocket.co.uk. Fantastic looking boat, goes well as well, or did.

Re: Classic/ Lowrider Moth training at Oxford SC

Just to say thank you to Ian, Lyndon, Alan and all others for the welcome to the moth clan. Will practice the climbing around technique to get back on board, and hopefully at the next gathering we can all get afloat. Think I might have to do some aesthetic smartening up of the boat having seen the p...

Re: Merlin PYs...

Dougal is right, if you take the actual PY of the Merlins when the age handicaps were first introduced it was if I recall correctly 1024, so add your 50 to that and you are in the 1075 mark at least, After all your boat has not got any faster with age. If totally original then 1085 is about right. B...

Re: Classic/ Lowrider Moth training at Oxford SC

How likely is the Moth to take off if I tow it with the trampolines still attached, and should I fit reflectors on the corners for towing?

Or, is it best to dismantle?
