Due to a change of plans, I'm selling my early Skol moth.... It seems to be a Skol SD (self draining) made by Salterns, before Rondar took over and called it the Skol 2... I see them pop up from time to time, and always wonder why they didn't do well.... They were from a pedigree designer, and all the sailing reports I've read say they were rather nice, and yet only 1000 odd got made..... They still look modern.. were they too far ahead of their time? Too lightly buil...

Yeah, that's the physics working... it happens in any pulley system.... The only type of kicker immune to it is the old winch drum style....trebor wrote:Every time I doubled up power, travel was affected.

I don't know why it changed.. the '68 British yearbook has pics of both the M in a circle (both M and circle are printed in red, but that may just be the printing tech of the era) and the moth silhouette....

Rolinx seems to have been the plastic injection moulding company that originally made the Topper.... presumably the boat of that name was a Topper sequel!

When one sail has the digits 3 9 on it with a big gap between, and the other shows 10359, I think the number must be 10359!
