Re: Banbury 2022

Hallo Tim,
I’m afraid we have something else on so we can’t make it . We shall miss sailing as well as the great grub!

Re: Classic International 14 for sale

This is what Edward Warwick said about your boat….
not the one I built in 1975/1976 that was an Opus mk2 and I believe it was wrecked in Whitley bay. I built Brown Trousers for Tom Trevelyan and it was shown new at the London Dinghy exhibition that year.

Re: Classic International 14 for sale

Just saw that this was half built by Warwick. Eddie Warwick. I was at college in Winchester with him doing the same course. I know he went on to built a 14 and I believe he won something in it…not sure what though. Small world!

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

Well, well, well. We knew that many were going to China, All sorts of museums are popping up there In recents years. There’s even a sample of my work in a musical instrument museum in Shanghai! I hope some of the boats will be restored and properly displayed and perhaps sailed but, unless that’s an ol...

Re: Is Baltic Wharf on?

Yes I emailed the address given on their website but have not had a reply. Only Baltic wharf members can access their calendar so I cannot even find if they have a fixture written in.
So I’m making other plans and will assume there is no event.

I have a few Tufnell blocks of various types if you can specify just what you want. What sort of jamming cleat? I may have a bronze tube on of a rather large size.

Just that…is Baltic Wharf on? I know sometimes it seems left out or forgotten about so have we had any confirmation or details?

Re: Clywedog Rally 2021

Hallo Keith, Very sorry to say that we will not be coming this year. Lois has not been well but seems to be getting better slowly ( not COVID by the way) but since it is Amy’s wedding the following weekend we want to be 100% …if poss. I think it may be only the second or third time we have missed co...

Very early merlin no 68

FREE Merlin 68 Joy is looking for a new home. Once a well known and successful boat and the Top MastTrophy of the Merlin Rocket Class was made from the top of the original mast from this boat when the rules changed in 1949 to reduce the rig height. Has been dry stored for many years but needs some w...

Re: Int 14 #243 photo link - ‘as is’

I agree, Jim. I only made a vague connection but it seems to have been taken as confirmed and I would not go that far. It would be good to see for comparison if any of the other made-in-Malta boats can be seen. If they seem to be very similar that certainly would support your comment. But if they ar...

I only suggested 243 as a possibility rather than belief! See my comment in the other thread as I hadn’t realised there were two threads on this.
