Fairey Jollyboat J301 'Windsong' - Free to a good home
J301 - 7 - Copy.JPG Still set-up as supplied by Fairey's in 1961. Had been in Edinburgh since then, first with a school, and from the late 60's the Scouts. Well cared for by them for over 30 yrs, before some of that care was undone by a later generation leaving it upside down outside. It was though...

Jollyboat J71 - convincing plan required to secure
J71 Sailing.JPG J71 - complete Fairey Build - varnished hull & original decks. Not been restored. Modified through the 50's and 60's - bow closed off to form tank, side tanks made full length, centre main conversion, alloy mast, none of which were uncommon developments, and by the late 60's wer...

Re: Jollyboat for sale
Fantastic to see J52 survives. Hope it finds a good home. I have alerted the almost original owners who sailed it at Gourock. Loch Lomond fleet.JPG . J52 & J71 were owned by brothers - I have J71 from the Eisca auction, and the original owners family supplied some photos, and the above includes ...

Jollyboat Equipment - 1950's? trailer, cotton sails, Reynolds mast, boom
[img][ DSCF0735.JPG /img] Prompted by an likely trip south to the Hampshire / Sussex area with an empty tempest trailer, on which the Jollyboat trailer (which is roadworthy - just torture to tow empty) could get a lift on. All of the below acquired with Jollyboats in the EISCA auction in 2017. Trail...

Re: Graham Cockle auctions
In the EISCA auction the Finn sold for £150 (so £207ish probably after VAT, buyers premium etc), according to the then auctioneers website. Saw it briefly in a shed in Eyemouth.

Enterprise 1 was bought by NMM Falmouth. Saw it in the shed when I was visiting the GRP prototype tempest.

Fittings - Antique & less so
CVRDA copy.JPG Above are various 'lots' of fittings which will head on to ebay in a week, all as auctions starting at 99p. They are mainly the surplus of fittings that came with Jollyboats, and the results of scrapping dead Flying 15's & Tempests. Plenty of worn/broken stuff gone to the skip to...

Now got the sails on loan, so I can photograph them at the weekend. There are 3 sets of mains & jibs and 2 spinnakers. If you want me to send photos to you email me on protem at Hotmail.co.uk. Thanks

Vintage Int 14 sails - what to do?
Whilst acquiring a Project Flying 15 for a friend, the seller was going to include 3 sets of International 14 sails. In fairness I separated them and suggested he was better selling them separately, as he knew the history, and there were still vintage I14's out there being sailed. I was then asked h...

EISCA Boat, back on the water where it belongs
J71 Sailing.JPG Still much to do, but after some essentials, carefully sailable. Whilst I think 70 or more of the 90 EISCA sailing dinghies should never have been collected, we should thank the people connected with the EISCA in Eyemouth, Lowestoft, and Cardiff for their time and effort, in attempt...
