A four figure sail number in an ad for a Laser caught my eye. The description of it included " Collector's item!"
Are there really people who collect old Lasers?
Perhaps the same people collect ironingboard covers too.

Rest assured Duncan, there are still 2 old OKs chomping at the bit in the stable. It was in fact me who talked Dad around into the idea that fun could be had in the front of an old Merlin driven by a dodgy OK pilot. But just in case he starts to see sense, I might get an OK up to Clywedog as well as...

Thanks Nigel. I've emailed you. And thanks Chris. You are right, a LOT more than OK. There's miles and miles of paint and varnish. Plus it suffers from that major design fault that all Merlins do - it requires a crew. Dunno who's the nutcase, me or my 73 year old volunteer crew!. See you at the week...

I've gone and done something which questions my sanity. I've bought one of those many ebay listed Merlins and this one does'nt even have a usable rudder blade. It came with a broken carbon one and a fixed blade from an Int.14. which really is'nt any use. I was going to make a blade using the carbon ...

Hello Jonathan
Looking forward to visiting again this year

Like last year, it would be great to park Hotel Volkswagen in the car park if that's alright. Obviously I would not need any food to be laid on but would join in if it were, just to be sociable.

If you're after brass rubbing strip, I came across this site a while ago. I have not bought any from here but I bookmarked the page for future use.

Certainly CVRDA stuff and should make a lovely looking wooden boat. I'll have to pass it by 'cause I've got 2 already. With Duncan's, David's and Stu's recent purchase, we now have 5 CVRDA OKs amongst us. Wonder if we could get all 5 at an event this summer? If so, would we get a class start? Roll o...
