Re: Graham Cockle auctions

See "https://www.classicboat.co.uk/news/new-maritime-centre-hartlepool/". I don't think the new "centre" was a success hence the Graham Cockle auction. The Elena Maria Barbara appears under Lot 14 (with no link) which I believe is why all the machinery / wood was available. I was going to bid for Li...

Re: TV series coming soon

Following the recent EISCA auction, I've been left with a Plymouth Duck Punt which I am keen to rehome. She was on permanent load to EISCA, has been abandoned by the liquidators and ideally should go back to the Plymouth area or Northumberland (where the first owner, whom I believe to be Abel Chapma...

Re: Classic International 14 for sale, and advise please

Dear All FYI, all the boats have now left Lowestoft / Cardiff and are on their way to China. I can probably provide a list covering the Lowestoft boats (if anyone is particularly interested) but I believe George Hogg's online facility should now have been updated with the location of every boat prev...

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

Hmmm. I believe the letter is a genuine offer to hopefully reunite some of the collection. I would suggest mistakes have been well and truly learned by those responsible for past 'errors of judgment'. Despite the obvious shock, references to any sales to China would not be mentioned without document...

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

Sorry if the poly tunnel caused "much anger" and I am happy to answer any questions / concerns that you may have. It was only ever intended to be an 'over-flow' storage facility and I did my best (as landlord!). It is dry, secure and covered by CCTV. To the best of my knowledge, the boats were store...

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

The centre aisle is almost completely devoid of boats now. Three more go tomorrow (ex Moths) and I believe the rest go to China in a few weeks (shipping arrangements are currently being discussed by buyer / auctioneers).

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

Lifting equipment was available on site today . . . . . the elevated moth has been moved to the ground level. Someone owes me the £10.00 I had to pay plus a donation to the RNLI!

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

I note on facebook that "Incidentally, a small bird tells me that all is not sweetness and light at Lowestoft..." That's too cryptic and further details are needed! I don't think the site manager knows of any problems so I wonder who the small bird is and what is "not sweetness and light"? The forum...
