Re: 1965 International 14 free to a good home! - gone now!

Dear all, K871 'Aquamarina' has now been collected and is on her way to her new home in Cumbria. I hope her new owner can keep her sailing...

Here are some photos of the boat. The first three are from May 2018, when I received the boat. The fourth shows some of the delamination - there is a bit more on the other side, too.

Re: Advice on owning an Uffa Fox International Fourteen, ple

Good evening, I have just acquired K871 ‘Aqua Marina’, and I took it out for our first test sail this afternoon.... it was sailing well, until I decided to practice capsizing and righting, and the buoyancy tanks filled with water..... It’s difficult to sail fast when the boat is three-quarters under...

Re: Aldeburgh Classic Weekend 2018, June 16th and 17th

Greetings, all! I have just acquired an old wooden International 14 (K871, 1965 I think), and took it out for its first test sail this afternoon. Sadly, we will not be ready to race at Aldeburgh, but still plan to go to meet any fellow vintage (the boat, not necessarily the owner!) sailors and to ge...
