Re: Firefly wanted
Jon
Whereabouts in the SW? I have F2125 available, a bit basic though sailable, and not sailed her for 2 years so might need a scrub and some varnish, but would only cost you the fuel to get to Nottingham and back.
Let me know if any good for you,
Regards
Steve

Re: Winter Boat
Mk 1 Firefly any good to you? CVRDA eligible, won the open at Hunts a few years ago. Needs a bit of a tidy up but all sound structurally, I just don't sail her enough to justify the space in the dinghy park. In Nottingham, send pm if you are interested

Thanks to everyone at SHSC for a fine weekend, must have been a race officer's nightmare weatherwise. Good to see local youngsters getting involved so enthusiastically too.
All the best

Hello Peter
I am hoping to get over from Notts with the old Alb. Bill has fallen foul of the Sailing Police and now runs a B&B in the Lakes so sadly will not be around.
All the best

Re: New venue in the darkest Midlands
Hi Peter
I would come along for it, so long as you don't make it the same weekend as the Albacore nationals - usually 2nd weekend in August. Still got heaps of old boats at Nottingham and so would be happy to try and drum up support.
Keep us posted

Re: Spider...removing the cobwebs! N12 2523
Can you prop the boat on her side against the garage wall, that way you can get past and don't have to lean in to work. Just needs a helper to move the boat every time you want to reach another part. I'm doing a wide N12 (Crusader 3203) and have found this a much better way than bending over, which ...

Re: National 12 wanted (free if possible)
I'm afraid this boat is no longer up for grabs. A couple of our club members were poking about over the festive season and realising there lies a perfectly sound boat under the grime have arranged to buy it from the club. It must have been really well built to have suffered no more than superficial ...

Re: National 12 wanted (free if possible)
I shall be going out later to see if the Trent has reached our dinghy park yet, and will have a look at the N12 - anything in particular you need to know? Later . . . got some photos but will have to email them if you could pm me an address to send them. Round hull, sail no. 3203. New Alverbanks, me...
