I am keen. I have contacted the owner and considering how best to collect. You are welcome to crew or helm once back on the water!

Singlehander?
Hi, I am looking for a singlehander, something able to carry weight, more sit in than on. Budget very small so likely to take on a project.

Re: Classic boats
Having raced my 18 this afternoon and being, perhaps, a larger gentleman I do not think it that comfortable or dry. And with the water being rather low at BBSC it is a long way up the slip pushing 250+Kg. Still, I am not complaining, I very much enjoy sailing it.

Varnish

I tried the own brand varnish remover too which had good reviews but did not work as well as nitromors....

It is a very well made 1970 version, GRP hull with wooden deck, aluminum centreplate, metal rig, two sets of sails, milanes rudder & stock, double speed mainsheet...

Re: Birkett Memorial Trophy
I have not done the event though would like to. Having sailed a classic 14 with Chris at Hunts this year I would say the scenario you describe is not ideal. As has been suggested I would go for a more modern and perhaps comfortable design the first time.
