Re: A Cnother Cnu
Thanks for the comments guys :D K220 is a lovely boat and was apparently built by Peter Herbert in 1990, so technically isn't CVRDA eligible. However, despite some modern concessions such as the epoxy used in construction, her build and design are really from an earlier generation of IC e.g. cold mo...

Re: Merlin 3270
I live just up the road in Kingsteignton and will be happy to help with any general Merlin questions. I usually sail a modern Winder FRP boat, but have also recently started restoring Silver Ghost 2500

Merlin Rocket 1914
I have been asked to help find Merlin Rocket 1914 (Adur 8 ) a new home. She has been garage stored for many years and has been partially restored by her current owner, but unfortunately he no longer feels he can complete her and now needs the space. The hull appears very sound, no rot or failed glue...

Hi Dave
I hope she turns out to be just what you wanted, but please don't get too distracted from Pure Magic

Merlin Rocket - Rowsell Courageous
Just spotted this on the Y&Y web site and vaguely recollect someone was looking for a Courageous design a while ago? David H?

Classic Merlin Rocket sails
I have been given a suit of old Merlin sails which belonged to an elderly gentleman who used to sail at Starcross, who would like me to sell them on his behalf. Details as follows - McNamara X mainsail - measured 23/6/73 (sail number 2583). Could do with a clean, but has had very little use and henc...

Re: Classic 505 K698 varnished wood
Hi Ed She was "amateur" built by a Dick Hammond, who I understand was an engineer with Rolls Royce and clearly a very skilled woodworker. He built the boat in his spare time whilst working over in Sweden and spent a long time planning, researching materials and construction techniques. Alo...

Classic 505 K698 varnished wood
I'm probably really going to regret this :( , but my lovely wood 505 is for sale because I'm not finding the time to work on her and, realistically, won't have much time to use her due to other sailing commitments. K698 was built in 1966, but has not seen much use and really has spent most of her li...

Re: Road Trailer
Will do, just need to fit a decent cradle to the trolley and the road trailer is then surplus to requirements. Will be free to whoever wants it.

Re: Road Trailer
Hi all I've just bought a combi base which matches my 505 trolley hence I will have an ancient road trailer going free shortly (I need the space). It's pretty heavy and could probably use some new tyres, but is otherwise serviceable and in fairly good condition with a tasteful green Hammerite finish...

Re: deja vu
Taking a guess, it does look very similar to the Farr 3.7 which featured in a recent thread on the Y&Y forum - another grey import maybe?
