Re: Unique custom made road trailer for sale

Hi Rupert, Hi Alan, I'm good thanks, still keeping and functioning well. Run ragged by kids (now 7 & 9) and job. I've not sailed for several years now, but am trying to think of ways to fit it in as I do miss it. Alan, yes I still have 1958 :-) I've also got a mirror (an old one) that needs some...

Unique custom made road trailer for sale

Well, Hello all. Some will remember me, other will not have a clue who I am or what I am on about. Before the job and kids got in the way I used to sail my various boats at many CVRDA events, in fact for a while I kept this very website up to date etc. Anyhow, if you're still with me I'll get...

Re: This could be bad for your health!!

My mate has one of these 20 feet fireballs in Devon. It's actually 21 feet in immaculate condition with twin trapeze. I have asked him many times to bring it to Roadford. The rig was redesigned by Spud Rowsell with bigger main & jib as far as I remember. I'll see if I can get him to send me a pi...

Re: Coast sailing clubs in the sarf west

there's only one place to sail, on the coast in the south west - Lyme Regis.

A few complain about the harbour entrance, listen to the locals, we know how to get in and out - it's easy.

Nice club, nice bar, nice members, nice pubs, nice restaurants.......

Re: Traveller series

as a CVRDA sailor that has only sailed once in total this year I spoke with others at Roadford and most said they had not sailed as much this year as in previous, sighting many reasons. Amongst them were: lack of money to busy at work bored fed up with sailing fed up fed up with CVRDA fancied a year...

Re: Roadford 10th Anniversary Event. August Bank Holiday Weekend

yes, sorry Ed, as already discussed the weekend just was looking far to difficult to organise. I have decided 2009 is a non-sailing year. I have only sailed once this year, at Baltic Wharf. The boat insurance has expired too. I am still not sure if we have made the right decision, but I've made it n...

Re: Singing, Sailing & Reminisences

when we were kids sailing out of Lyme in Club mirrores, £100 fireballs, parents 505's, 'borrowed' toppers etc. we always sang. Usually at the top of our voices the latest chart hit ! I would name some but I am too embarressed to admit to singing them. We always used to get a few funny looks at the s...
