Unfortunately, it already has a rather poor paint job - I'm thinking of sanding and re-painting, but not sure what I can and can't get away with on grp

Hi, Just aquired merlin 2990 which is lacking a rudder. If anyone knows of a suitable rudder that's hanging around just getting in the way and really needing a new home that'd be great or if someone could provide some measurements I could have a go at making one.
