Re: Banbury 2021

Hi Tim, I am looking forward to coming to Banbury and have been working on the Mothie community to join us. We now have 8 Moths on their way including Ian and Gavin that have let you know already. Most if not all of them will be pre-75 vintage which is amazing, as a few years ago we didn't think tha...

Re: Clywedog Rally 2021

Hi Keith,
I hope all is still going to plan. I will turn up with campervan and Moth sometime Friday evening, and staying till Monday.
If you have any more details of start times etc we can add an event invite to the Lowrider Moth Facebook page.

Look forward to seeing all at Clywedog again,

Lyndon

Re: AGM - 4. Treasurer's report and Membership report

I agree with the accounts.

Re memberships, I shared the renewal requests on the Moth Lowriders Facebook page, so hopefully some of those membership fees came in via that route.

Regards

Re: Clywedog Rally 2020

Hi Keith,

I look forward to joining you if it is possible to hold the CVRDA rally. As with most of the regulars, pretty much self sufficient in the campervan, so easy to survive a weekend off grid.

Cheers

Re: First Project - International Moth

Welcome to the classic Moth fleet! I'm pleased to know there is a Womble surviving in captivity and receiving the attention such a rare beast deserves. Could this be the Womble that was last heard of in Cornwall? If you let me know the sail number, or preferably the number carved into the hull near ...

Re: Proposal for AGM

Yes, I think it is a good idea to move forward and hopefully encourage a slightly wider range of entries. In Moth terms it takes us neatly to an era where the hulls were becoming narrower but carbon rigs were still out of reach for most.

Cheers

Make that 3, and I hear the entertainment is arranged too in the form of Paul Jago's moth. That means 4 if he can stay in it long enough to get to the start line!

Re: French Moth

Thanks for sharing this Alan, I suspect Dougal will be interested because it looks very much like the Westell designed 505 type moth or similar. I have posted it on the lowriders facebook page in case anyone can add more info. https://www.facebook.com/groups/422607964597474/?multi_permalinks=1140936...

I booked last week and got pitch 12, which is hardstanding with lekky and behind the same hedge as you Lois.

It does seem like the availability is telling lies

Re: Dinghy Show 2019

Thanks Pat, It was an honour to fly the flag of the CVRDA! We had a great opportunity to back up Dougal's talk and display a range of moths to illustrate 90 years of development. The stand space, backboard displays, timeline boards, video display and individual boat descriptions were all provided an...

Re: Trolley tyres

That's exactly what I was suggesting Keith, but the ready made article. I didn't realise they were available like that!

A little more expensive to buy off the shelf than converting existing trolley wheels but you get shiny new wheels without bending your best cutlery. Seems like a good deal :)
