Re: New to CVRDA

Hi Rodger,

Had a look at the plank and yes it does come off with just the removal of four bolts.

Think i may remove it and lose a bit of weight then set it up with a trapeze. Every bit of weight we can lose is a bonus, we had 26 stone on her sunday and it showed with the poor result!

Re: New to CVRDA

Thanks Roger, Not quite sure what i want to do with her yet! Certainly would benefit from some newer sails but i dont think i will be throwing money at brand new sails! I think the Hornet is too big for our water at Stanstead Abbotts so may just keep her for events if i can get her sorted a little b...

Re: New to CVRDA

Well, took the old girl out today and didnt do very well at all! There again, look at the condition of the sails! Think i need some newer ones. Looking on the bright side, it took on no water apart from what came though the centre board slot, so im pretty happy with that! Not me helming, got one of ...

Cheers

Re: New to CVRDA

Excuse my ignorance Rodger, but where is "Bough Beech"?

Once i have a try out in Demon and i can find someone daft enough to crew then i would be up for meet somewhere!

I enjoy fleet racing with the Laser's, so i recon i would enjoy this too!

Re: New to CVRDA

Well, i didnt expect such a reaction over an old wooden dinghy! I only bought it as i liked the look of it and i thought it very cheap (anyone put a price on a dinghy like this?) Plus i like the name "Demon" Thought it suited me very well! I was soundly beaten in my Lightning today by a very well sa...
