Apparently an 'out of class' Osprey. An inch or less too short? What tolerences are allowed generally with measuring boats? I could understand a problem with a boat too long. It sounds that there may be a story behind it though Maybe a lot of hard work to make her followed by a Homer Simpson "D'oh"...

Can't really see the bow properly as it's partly obscured by the trailer but it certainly looks like a MKII Osprey to me (I raced them for 20 years).

I think ease of replacement of that part of the floor is going to depend on how much curvature the hull takes at that point. From photos I'd imagine it's pretty flat.

You might find that she was fitted out with parts from an expired boat. I can't prove that didn't happen but I think it's unlikely that anyone would recycle a 13 year old buoyancy bag. Some of the brass fittings are very low cost such as deck clips and it would just seem pointless to re-use such it...
