Re: Hunts 2014

Hi Nessa, yes, a wonderful weekend again and thanks for the extra wind on Sunday.

Thanks also to my two great crew, it was a pleasure to sail with you and get the Jollyboat going properly for a change! Hope we can do it again soon.

Get better soon Nessa and hope to see you at future meetings

Re: Jollyboat mast boom sails rigging etc

Hi Steve, I have a complete rig for a Jollyboat, original Reynolds mast, bendy boom and sails (was hoping to use them on a possible rebuild but still waiting to hear from owner [ed LOL] You should be able to fit them straight into your boat. I do have a steel centre plate that I won't be using again...

Re: Hunts 2014

Hi Nessa, Looking good for Jollyboat 325 at Hunts on the 3rd. Should be at least 2 of us. What do you have planned for the evening? probably up for a meal and drinks.

Also, have I missed the race times or are they on the Hunts SC websire?

Re: Oxalic acid

Hi, I have effectively used oxalic acid for removing rust stains from terylene sails with no apparent ill effects so it should be good for wood. I stuff I used was DAVIS FSR Fiberglass Stain Remover, a sort of gel that comes in a 1 pint tub, should be able to get it from a chandlers or on line. Rega...

CVRDA Events - Jollyboat crew wanted for CVRDA events

Hi All, After a couple of good years sailing with the CVRDA crowd, I am hoping to attend all of this year's events but I will probably be looking for another crew member for my Jollyboat, J325. The JB is great fun to sail and I can promise that a good time will be had by all who dare to sail.... If ...

Re: Classic Stuff for sale: Jollyboat, Tideway, Whiff, etc.

Hi Ed, I would be interested in any JB spares you might have and also perhaps give some thought to J335, I think we may have discussed this a couple of years ago but didn't pursue it. Also, on a bit of a tangent, will you be at any of the CVRDA meets this year as it would be great to get our JB's to...

Firefly jib wanted for Baltic Wharf

Clare and I are hoping to be at Baltic Wharf but the Jollyboat is likely to be too big , it may get jammed across the dock lol :| so we will probably take Clare's firefly but at the moment it lacks a jib. Does anyone have a firefly we could buy cheap or possibly borrow? Hoping someone can help. Chri...
