Re: Are buoyancy bags repairable??
When the seam or corner has gone, it can be a pain to fix, but you can certainly slow the leak down. If it stayed up for a race I was happy before I broke the bank and bought new bags. Seams and corners can be successfully welded in the case of PVC bags as opposed to the more fabric-based version.....

Re: Farecla Profile 200/300/500?
Hi Tim A friend of mine worked for Farecla for a couple of years recently and recommended Profile 300 followed by Profile UV Wax. Initially, in the 300 I didn't see the immediate benefit but once the wax was applied (I hand polished, it seemed to be better than a lambswool pad on the polisher) it wa...

Re: The worst classic dinghy.
Never noticed any particular problem with Gulls and weather helm and sailed them a lot. Definitely better than a Heron, but I much preferred the 11 Plus. The boat I active disliked most of anything I've ever sailed was a Dodnor Sea Star. Jim - I agree with your 11 foot'ish league table although the...

Re: What Moth?
No, I don't do facebook. From what I can make out there seem to have been 4 Skols. Mk 1 may have just been 3 prototypes, which look as if they had unstayed masts and a fair gunwale line. The majority seem to be Mk 2s http://www.cvrda.org/coppermine/albums/boats/classes/international_moth/normal_sko...

Re: What Moth?
Thanks again Jim, one person said Mk1 - it could, I guess, easily be one of the others as it almost certainly would be a production model. Can you see Facebook? Maybe, with your permission I could pm you some pics?

Re: What Moth?

Re: Scow perhaps?
JPA will remember more about this boat than me. I'm sure it has featured on here before, as it was at Whitefriars. It may have been called the Vortex (before the other one) but it may have been another word for sucking water into vents. Brain has died on me. I know I never understood why they thoug...
