Re: Dry Suit Revival
I have the same dry suit, mine has started to leak a little around stiched areas (knee area) after 3 seasons. Not sure there is anything that could be done?

Re: 420 Rigging

The one that the school brought me in the sixties definately had this along with the second mast step and the tubular main traveler. Cheers Al Sounds very much like the one i have! Will take a f...

Re: 420 Rigging
Thanks, been through most of google looking for an answer. Looks like it may be trial and error till i find out otherwise!
It was pointed out to me that the boat has a second mast step further forward so the mast can be moved and sailed single handed without the jib!
Cheers
Mark

Re: 420 Rigging
There is a mast step, 2 of them as Sami pointed out to me! The step is more of a long notch which the mast sits in and over, but this notch will allow the mast to move forwards and backwards. I was under the impression that the chocks would generate the mast rake while the foot of the mast stayed in...

After chatting with Solentgal Saturday, i thought i would post a little pic of my lad. He is now 21 months old, but the pic was taken close to his first birthday. Put him in the 420 yesterday, and he didnt want to get out. Looks like i have got a very light weight crew :P Cheers Mark http://i127.pho...

420 Rigging
Evening all, As you are probably aware, i am now a happy owner of a 420 (thanks Sami) but im a little miffed about the mast set up! I am aware that it needs chocks, but the bottom of the mast seems free to move forwards and backwards 4-5 inches! Is there anything supposed to be there to stop this, o...

420 bits
As i have had one of Solentgal's 420's i am looking for a few bits to finish kitting it out.
At the moment im just looking for a half decent rudder, spinnaker pole and mast chocks, anyone got anything that might resemble them in anyway?
Cheers

Re: Various boats and gear for sale
Nice meeting you both today Sami,
I now have the dinghy set up ready to go at the club.
Cleaned up quite nicely with the jet wash, might even get chance to put it on the water tomorrow
Will take the camera with me tomorrow and try and get a few pics!
Cheers

Re: Club Commitments
We have one duty a year (as family members) I helm the patrol boat, while the wife helps with catering.
Along with that we have 2 work days a year, which is not compulsury, but as im looking after our first work day of the year (today) i better get a move on!!
