Re: Jolly Boat Main Sail

Thanks for posting this.
I have emailed the owner hoping for details of the boat to add to the Jollyboat association records.
I would value any other Jollyboat leads.

Re: Old books

My favourite is by Gabor Denes and called "Starting Sailing" I think.
Great photos of Cadets and fireflies and I think I remember a picture of someone throwing and anchor off the foredeck of a Jollyboat.
Will try and dig it out tomorrow and check title.
Thoroughly recommended.

Re: Fairey Swordfish

David
If you do get to see the collection I would very much like to hear of the Jollyboat(s)
I do not know the number and would value any pictures to add to the Jollyboat records.
I also selflessly offer my services as photographer !

Re: Chichester Harbour Event.

J261 and either J26 or, if redecked, J161 all based nearby will hopefully be able to attend. As well as the Bosham Classic fleet I have seen a Swordfish in the harbour which I will try to trace. At Thorney island there are 2 Fireflies and a vintage Albacore. Pictured is Ian's Jollyboat Jimini in bes...

Sewing Machine

Have received a Christmas present request for a new sewing machine.
Aha! I thought here is an opportunity to be seen to give but also receive.
Now to get that sail and cover stitching zigzag machine I have always wanted.
Any ideas or favourites recommended ?

Re: The Best tea of the year!! 4th and 5th October

Will certainly be coming but may only be able to make sunday. Jollyboats's too long so Minisail and Optimist for my crew or possibly in a borrowed Firefly. Have received request from crew to do more trapezing. So I know it's a bit of long shot. But does anyone have a Pegasus that needs some exercise ?
