Re: A True Stalwart
If all else fails there is a specialist welding company at Menheniot I believe called Weldspray who can weld phosphor bronze as I used them during the restoration of a Morgan Moss gearbox to weld up a broken selector rod which was supposedly NLA and unrepairable, the process I seem to remember was c...

Re: Help! Classic Finns now at Netley!
We were aware of the invasion of Netley with real boats, first FD's and now Finns, you will be converted eventually David. As for steroids, no need just more pie's, who better but a pie maker to provide support for the Recent Finn Inlands and although the event was held in Devon it was yet another '...

Last time I saw it the mast was ...

Yes I recognise it as having been at Roadford but I do not believe it was a regular sailor. We still have a classic Cherub here now and it was out last week.

Re: Flying Dutchman...( a two handed Finn?)
Glad you enjoyed it David, I must say I miss it, the upwind performance of a well sorted FD is something that stays with you forever and the ease in which it does it has to be experienced to be believed. I believe that 350 was a complete one off, penned by Ian Howlett to Rodney Pattison's spec and b...

Bosham Classic Boat Revival June 25th/26th
As it was rumoured that the Bosham event was for wooden boats only, I asked the question at the Dinghy Show if this was the case, and am pleased to let you all know that GRP classics are more than welcome, they are indeed looking for a good presence from the CVRDA. I have no connection with Bosham, ...

Welcome back Simon, are you still planning on a visit to Roadford, or would you prefer me to run the Finn trailer back to you.

Excellent, that's given me ideas, I wonder how many Finns will fit in a single garage that way?.......
