It's a '78 update of a '46 design.. If I built it to '46 specifications, I'd have to build a wooden mast too!! At least I can stick a tin one on a '78 boat!

I don't think there's much chance of me building it any time soon - I just don't have the space...

I would use modern glues though! And that plan is dated 1978, and calls for the seams to be taped, presumably with polyester resin...

Re: Are we ready for reproductions yet?

The only problem with a new boat here in UK would be finding a suitable series to compete in That's why I'm asking.... I'm not a particularly competitive sailor.. (I sail a Minisail and have nearly finished building a Cape Cod Frosty (you'll have to go look that up)) I just like to mess about with ...

Dinghy Database

Is it being actively maintained?

A Nimbus was advertised on Facebook earlier, so I came to the CVRDA to look it up... zilch..(it is listed but with no data) but quite a lot of info available via google...

It's a shame to see our resource missing easily available data....

Re: Anyone want some period tufnol blocks?

I hadn't really thought much about price... About a tenner each? A fiver for the first one as the ratchet is worn out... No 5 is a ratchet also..The spring retaining post is missing... I've put an M3 stainless bolt in the hole, but it needs a nut finding for it...
