Hi Neil,
If you don't get any takers for the whole lot and if you would split them up, I'd like the eight small Allen cleats, wedges and fairleads.

Re: Rigging screws
How small, I have some somewhere but I think they are shroud adjusters and probably too big. After a quick rummage I can find only one, it is five and a half inches between the pin holes I will keep looking if that is not going to be too big but I am likely to have only two.

Re: Glass fibre deck repair
I can foresee a competition for who has the scruffiest boat becoming a feature of the future Classic Finn events, something like a concours in reverse. But you should be aware Phil that Alan will work very hard to win this one...... I will leave the mould, lichen and fungi in place then and give hi...

Re: Glass fibre deck repair
I have tried rubbing compound and whilst that brings up a good shine the surface imperfections are clearly visible. I think the surface material is quite sound, you can not pick bits off the surface like you can with osmosis blisters, it just doesn't look or feel nice. I sprayed a few cars in a form...

Glass fibre deck repair
I am restoring a GRP Butler Finn, the hull is really good in its original gelcoat but the decks have suffered from being exposed to the sun. The gelcoat has innumerable hairline cracks, crazing and tiny, dry, blisters, the deck has also faded from the original bright yellow to various shades of crea...

I have bought some from the chap on ebay (best price I could find), they seem good quality and have an integral rubber seal.

[quote="Ed"]Not hard to make a decent foil.....go for it. Thank you for the encouragement, I had been putting it off but not having been able to find a board to fit my narrow case made the final decision for me. I've been offered a few boards but all have been too thick and thinning them s...

Re: Happy Places
I was born and raised in Kent, spent my teenage years living and sailing in Whitstable and thought it was great. Moved away thirty odd years ago for work and have managed to live in some of the nicer villages south of Canterbury after a not so pleasant couple of years in Ashford. I had the chance to...
