I'm on the verge of buying a N12.. it's in Essex and I'm in Berkshire... it has a trolley, but no trailer...
If I could borrow a suitable trailer for a day, I'd be very grateful!

Re: leak in hull....
Yes!
Don't put too much pressure in it, and be aware there may be a vent hole in the hull, probably high up in the cockpit, near the centreline so it never gets submerged...

Thanks for that.. have contacted the owner... Would be a lovely boat for me to own, as built by my mother's uncle!hall_g wrote:There is a free N12 which has just been posted on the N12 Association website.

Good Grief!!!
That's not a catamaran, it's a floating road bridge!

From the inside there was no evidence of the chine splitting... it just looked like the outermost ply coming off....roger wrote:The split chine would be my biggest worry, if the glue is failing you may end up doing the whole boat.
But, yes.. taping the whole hull would be time-consuming....

Re: Buying advice, please....
This boat has a tank across the stern...
It has a tunnel through it which means there's no way you'd kick the flaps open!
It also means I could only inspect part of the inside of the chine... and it looked fine!

So I made a 500 mile round trip today to go and have a look... Not too many horrors... 1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/92926908/DSC_0062.JPG Funny, overly long trailer, front mast support missing... I can bodge a replacement to get it home... 2: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/92926908/DS...

Crew availability...
Not sure where this belongs... It's a suggestion to the moderators, I guess... I've seen various posts with people saying they might make an event if they can find a suitable crew.... How about a list of volunteer crew? With location, skills (spinnaker, trapeze, etc) I plan to be racing my Minisail ...
