1226 would make it a Wyche and Copock mkXII - if it were a MR... but does that c/board lock like it's metal? As far as I know metal plates are'nt allowed.

Perhaps an entry for "they don't make them like they used to" but we built our mirror dinghy in 1972 using a Black and Decker metal cased two speed (used a gearbox) drill that is still working. It was not new then! Its a bit noisy, bit rattly, but still works. Changed the brushes a couple...

Bosch for the win... I have a 13 year old battery drill from them, and it's still going strong, even on its original battery... . normally I would agree, but my Bosch drill has been pretty poor from the begining. I call it Mr Pathetic :) Seems that there are more than one grade. mine is the lowest....

looks more like a Kestrel to me, or a Beaufort or something of that ilk, although I don't recognise the insignia on the sail.

It's not as wide as the Strider so maybe more 'volatile' (?) In 'Catamarans in Close Up', Patrick Boyd mentioned the windows on the Mk 1, saying that although adequate for inshore, he'd fit oversize perspex to the apertures if going further afield. A sporty boat, though! Mk 1s have been known to go...
