my experience says just do what you have to do then sail it. soemthing else will then break, so you repair it, then sail it, soemthing else will then break ....not worth doing the full restoration.. nessa isnt that what moth sailing is about or comes hand in hand you sail it, you break it, you fix ...

Well it seems to be gaining interest I have been contacted by previous owners and also roger angell ,and it seems it was one of the best 8,s built bonus

Bootscooter I have had an email of said seller saying he was very sorry about canceling item and he didnt realise the rules. Your miffed so was I this morning as I had a large bid on it ,oh well I have an 8 that will keep me occupied for a while keep looking there out there some where

Ahhh, didn't come off for me as there was a bit too much work involved (that the bloke selling didn't know about). You could contact the seller for some pics of the hole (about 3-4inch sq) where the son had started a repair, and probably get it quite a bit cheaper than I bid, if you're interested.....
