Re: International 14 - Aerial

"Ariel" was number 62 and was indeed designed and built by Uffa. (176 was "Alert" designed and built by Morgan Giles). Sorry have no idea of location or even if still exists!

Re: Merlin on ebay

Ed. Just out of interest mailed seller to ask if boat actually 1598 - he confirmed sail # but "no number on thwart" - could possibly be on hog? Anyway not of interest to me, although some Mk. XII's are going well on the river!

Re: Banbury event

For info. - Roger - we will be taking on the DeMay merlin part of the Banbury event in conjunction with the Hunts CVRDA on September 17. I guess we will run the event in much the same way as last year which seemed to go OK!

National 839 (Little John design),from where your sails came from, is out of class, having been turned into a motor boat!

Re: Water Repellant on Cotton Sails

I would definitely not use stick on numbers. I would suggest an e-mail to Kevan Bloor (ex. Alverbank sails). What Kevan does not know about 12 sails is not worth knowing. I have always found him very helpful. His address is: ntoa@national12.org
