Re: Blithfield 24th & 25th May

Haha Ian, very funny! Lol, if you had been at Hunts you wouldn't have been in the running, we trounced almost everyone, only losing on the superb handicap the Jb carries. At one point we were so far ahead we thought that we had gone the wrong way! Anyway , we still have a few more battles to fight.....

Re: David's latest Y&Y missive

David, great piece, really, really interesting. Love the format and the pictures. A good look back at what many of us consider the golden years of dinghy development. Also, thank you for posting the picture of the Jolly pirate crew, proof to my wife that I'm not having an affair (at least only with ...

Re: Jollyboat mast boom sails rigging etc

Hi Steve, I have a complete rig for a Jollyboat, original Reynolds mast, bendy boom and sails (was hoping to use them on a possible rebuild but still waiting to hear from owner [ed LOL] You should be able to fit them straight into your boat. I do have a steel centre plate that I won't be using again...

Re: Hunts 2014

Hi Nessa, Looking good for Jollyboat 325 at Hunts on the 3rd. Should be at least 2 of us. What do you have planned for the evening? probably up for a meal and drinks.

Also, have I missed the race times or are they on the Hunts SC websire?

Re: Oxalic acid

Hi, I have effectively used oxalic acid for removing rust stains from terylene sails with no apparent ill effects so it should be good for wood. I stuff I used was DAVIS FSR Fiberglass Stain Remover, a sort of gel that comes in a 1 pint tub, should be able to get it from a chandlers or on line. Rega...
