Cotton Jib / Genoa wanted
If anyone has a cotton jib they don't use that is in reasonable condition I would be interested in giving it a new life.
Min. dimensions around 13'9'' (4.2m) luff by 7'6'' (2.2m) but I can tailor a larger sail down to size if needed.

Re: What's this sad old specimen???
If she really does measure exactly 16' then she might be Wayfarer W2 W1 is the other 16' boat (sailing) before production length of 15'10' from W3 on. Solid mahogany CP box and rear hatch cover construction suggest an early boat, but the rear hatch clips suggest a little later. Probably mis-measurem...

Mirror 510
This is surely a worthwhile project if you have the time and skill? Hull seems to have all early features so might well be No 510.

Re: Hunting for F2495
Rupert,
Bosham SC kindly answered and supplied the name of the chap they sold her to in the 1970s.
Seems as if his parents still live at the address so there is good hope to track her down.
Mail was sent to Peter
Hope they are successful.

Re: Wayfarer W3
David H,
Great pictures - many thanks for posting them. Was a pleasure to meet you out on the water.
Only her second time under sail in 40 years, and what a beautiful day to be out sailing.
She (unlike me) sailed faultlessly.

Re: Wayfarer W3
Although remarkably functional for its age, the trailer will go through a strip down and re-assembly, so for sure tyres will be changed probably to new 6 ply - currently 1957 cross ply!
Dry and idle in a barn until then with Welsh Harp combi taking the strain.

Re: Wayfarer W3
Trailer is currently awaiting restoration, although both suspension and tyres are in remarkably good shape as they have been dry stored in dark away from UV light.
For now she travels on a Welsh Harp Wayfarer combi trailer, and the original will be tidied up for the 2018 Ian Proctor 100th Birthday.

Re: Wayfarer W3
She was sitting in about 3 feet of water with the CP up, so she should have been free floating.
Being dry for 40 years may contribute, and as it was a sea trials day she had no excess gear aboard.
