Registrations currently disabled
Hi Everyone, sorry, we are being hit by Spam member applications again. About 50 a day or so... and I have got about 1500 rogue registration applications to go through. This is going to take me a few evenings to get through, so for now, I have disabled new registration applications. I will get it al...

Re: Campsite at Roadford
This comes up every year and sorry, I forgot to make the situation clear. The best 10-15 camping spots have electricity and hard-standing for motorhomes. These get booked up really early, but there is plenty of other space over two nice fields close to the water for anyone wanting to camp, which are...

Welcome Back Again....
Hi Everyone, Welcome back to the Forum. We had to take the forum down due to some security worries after a Russian Hacking attempt. Now, after some sterling work by Neil yesterday and a little checking over and tinkering by me today, everything should be back working now. Hopefully everything will b...

Djyn MR638 - Proctor Mk VIII I have been trying to find a home for Djyn for many years.... but I now have been told that I am loosing some of my boat storage, including where Djyn is. I will have to scrap it, which is always a bit of a pain to do..... If there is anyone who wants to take her on, yo...

Re: Buss and Elston info please
Great stuff!
What a lovely boat. Nothing moulded about that! Well worth spending a little time, effort and money on.
I am afraid it is unlikely that you will get much financial return after doing the work, but you will own a beautiful little boat!
Best wishes

Re: Buss and Elston info please
I think we would need to see an image or two. When you say a moulded hull of 12foot length.....made in similiar way to the Mozzie....and connections to Uffa Fox, you can really only be talking about a Uffa Fox designed Fairey 12ft Firefly. These were made in the 1940s and most would of been finished...

Re: Big Brother's collection....going under the hammer...
yes, the Austin was my ex-wife's.....gone now.
I try to keep collections down to 'one of each kind'....both boats and bikes, makes it easier to give them regular use.
With bikes I like to use them.....and must go jump on the Motoguzzi to get to work.

Big Brother's collection....going under the hammer...
Since I have already taken things well off topic..... I just thought that I havn't mentioned that my brother's 'classic' collection is being auctioned off in a couple of weeks. https://images.honestjohn.co.uk/imagecache/file/width/530/media/14071980/brightwells-andrew-bremner-collection.jpg No boats...

Re: A Cnother Cnu
No, don't think so.....he built Pau Amma III about the same time as my plastic boat in 1992.
I think that was stripped plank construction.....or did you mean another one? He may well of built more?

Re: Wooden Mast for Tideway 12
I might have a whole Tideway rig.....
just need to think what I am doing about the boat, which needs some work doing to it.
To be honest, I hardly ever sailed my Tideway, mainly rowing it...
But maybe we should keep in touch
Best wishes

Re: Roadford Who’s Coming
talking of burgers.....
I hope you managed to get them out from under lock and key in time for the bar-bee-Q....
Would be a long way to come and then not be able to get them out a locked barn
Hope it goes well today for everyone. Sorry I can't make it today.
Best wishes
