Wouldn't mind you publicising this on the CVRDA forum next year if it's repeated
I wonder if they'd also throw it open to other types of vintage dinghies?

Re: Int 14 mast
Hi Robert (rme) My mast is exactly the same as the photos you have posted and I believe my I14 is only two numbers away from yours. I have a groove in the front step of the heel and I always thought it was to position it on the bolt to facilitate lifting it to vertical from horizontal from standing ...

Re: Website pictures
Hi Pat & Ed Thanks for the replies. Pat - Now that explains the pictures and you are right to call them teasers. They certainly tease me and I find them very interesting - there are some good ones. If you could post the sequence in the gallery then I will find them very interesting. It is also i...

Re: Website pictures
Hi Max Thanks for the info. I've since realised that it was Ed's Jack Holt International Canoe but the picture was very interesting due to showing a top down view and I was teased to see the whole picture and the rest of the boat deck arrangement. I didn't know it now has a new owner. Now been throu...

Website pictures
Hi I logged onto the main CVRDA website where there is usually a long thin picture which changes at the top. This time there was a picture of an International Canoe on its side. I tried clicking on it then I tried to find the picture in the Gallery but without success after half an hour searching. C...

Single handed racing in a two hander?
Hi. I sail my International 14 single handed and now have a Firefly mainsail to use if it is too windy. Hoping to put my I14 logo and numbers on it Living in the North of England I was thinking of making the effort and attending the Blithfield event near Rugeley at the end of June if I'm not require...

Where you live
Hi I wonder if I could ask a polite request that more forum members place the town or area where they live on the left hand side of their forum posts. It would certainly make them more interesting to know what part of the country they are writing from. Incidentally where are 'The Flatlands'? - mustn...

Re: sail release
When approaching a leeshore in a laser which I used to sail, I used to un-clip the bottom block of the rear mainsheet halyard Leaving the mainsheet only attached to the boat by the front block. The boom could then blow forward of the mast to whatever position was required. In fact I used this techni...

Re: National 12 free.
N12 No 1000 Stimulus was, I believe, built in 1952, and was originally owned by Ian Proctor and took part in the national that year. I was fortunate to own her on Windermere from approx 1962 to 1968. I'd love to know where she is now!

Re: Self Bailers, Buoyancy Bags and Firefly spares
Hi Ben
I'm looking for a set of Firefly sails to use as heavy weather sails for my International 14. If you have a number of sets with your Firefly I'll be only too pleased to buy a set off you.
Regards

That looks good. You have to look hard to notice the reduced rig.
