I believe that Wyche & Coppock built a clinker I14 or few and that this was relaunched as the Rocket in 1950 which subsequently merged with Merlins. There is mention of this on the GBR I14 website. Does anyone know if there is a register of I14s? Merlin class of course has records of every boat ...

Hi again The seagull is a Forty Featherweight short shaft, made in January 1975. These produce an optimistic 1-2 hp, but bear in mind that this is real hp, and was derived from the torque output 45 ft-lbs measured at the output shaft (not engine power). They pull well for their size, easy to handle ...

Seagull outboard for sale, never used; still has original cardboard wrapping round the tank and has not been started since it left the factory in 1974!! Everything (probably more) you want to know about the sunfish; first grp in 1960, wood phased out then but still available as a kit until late 60's

The majority were at LASC, maybe 25 or so. The 'nationals' were more 'locals' so to speak. I'm not sure where the rest were, maybe some at Broxbourne.

I learned to sail at Lee Avon sc which was run by Ken Ford. He was an amazing man who ran the club for youngsters from 8-16yrs or so. We started by crewing british moths helmed by older members and moved on to a fly when ready. During the winter we would build boats at a workshop just off Lea Bridge...
