Re: early Mirror

Whoever owns it in July next year it is hoped that you will sail it in the Jack Holt Centenary event. This is still in the planning stage( more later) but we want to get the earliest Holt boat survivors to sail along side a modern example. As this could be one of the oldest around there could be so...

GP14 #23

Due to having too many boats and not enough time, i'm hoping to find 23 a new home now she's not pretty! but she's 95% there. she has some sails, think its 2 mains, genoa and a jib. Metal mast and boom the hull is, yes Wood, but in the 80's she has been 'lightened' to the GP assoc plans (i.e. thinne...

modern'ish GRP Enterprise

I've had this for a few months while I've been doing some work on the GP's. It would be ideal for sailing over the winter to keep the 'posh' boats in the warm garage! and now its in my space in the boat park! GRP holt enterprise sn 22168 cream hull, blue decks (newer type with teh racing stripes on ...

so is it 1985 onwards?

Hi Guys and Girls just a quick question before I try to drum up some interest at my sailing club (can't promise anything but who knows!) I take it, boats designed before 1965, (so GP14, Enterprise, Solo and Mirrors - as thats what we sail at Gresford) and boats built before 1985? Gp14 - 12606 Enterp...

Re: CVRDA nats Clywedog August

Cool, biggest problem I have is keeping him out of the boat! GP14 #7 got the nickname of 'jets boat' as we painted it black! and now whenever it comes out of the garage he tries to jump in!!! not good for the varnish!!!!!!!!

Re: gp14 60th Cruise @ Aberdovey

yeah the original mast was already split so thats been re-guled and just needs sanding and varnish but the spare mast, well I thought it was in good condition! hit a few BIG waves off the Aberdovey bar and crack just a bit of glue but I'll take it apart and clean it up to make sure it doesn't happen...

Re: gp14 60th Cruise @ Aberdovey

Hi Roger I really want to come to the nationals, missed the last event down there! I need some cotton sails for 23, so I'd be happy to swap you beer tokens for it! I'm without wooden masts so If i do come I'll be on metal spars but might sail with a jib, because I've now split both wooden masts! If ...
