Mast for Pegasus wanted

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a spare, pegasus, fireball, 505, albacore or GP14 mast.

My brother needs a replacement mast for his Pegasus following an incident last weekend. He managed to bend and put a twist in his old Proctor D mast during a capsize.

Many thanks

Re: Pegasus 134 on Ebay

Hi Trevor, I would go for it. Looks sound and a bargin at £128 if it stays that low. 134 dates from 1965, being the 13th built by Rebore Specialists. At this time they were still using genuine Bell Working reserves for the timber work to fit to their glass fibre shells. Much better combination than ...

I think Stan's son John is still a member of my club - Starcross Yacht Club. You could try leaving a note on the club web forum.

I'll see if anyone knows is whereabouts.

Cheers

Pegasus 1

Having spent the weekend having a closer look and working out how to go about repairing P1, my initial thoughts of it being redecked were wrong. The deck ply is original but is wrotten and will need replacement. What confused me until I cleaned the boat was the mahongany appearance of the deck. All ...

Pegasus 1

Hi Guys, Just a quick update on P1. Initial appraisal indicates all deck ply completely shot, particularly fore deck very soft and holed. Boat has been redecked at some point, with poor quality ply. Main timbers/members still very sound. Some damage to hull ply on Starboard side - launching trolley ...

Okay, Pegasus 1 is now mine. Saved for the nation! I intend to restore it to as original as I can with wooden mast, boom, terylene sails, etc. I have several original spares in my collection. P1 will be used for light wind CVRDA events, with P81 kept in modern trim for the serious racing. As P1 will...

A GP14 mast will fit as long as it is from a hog stepped boat not deck stepped. Used successfully on Pegasus 192. Trapaze easily added.

Cheers for now

Hi Neil,

Have emailed contact but no response yet. I had contacted him many years ago about the boat, but records no out of date. Do you have an address or phone no. you can email me. Not sure he checks his email very often.

cheers
