Ian Proctor Spectrum?

Hi all, I am interested in people's opinions on this. Is it a classic with a place in dinghy history or is it something else? I still haven't made up my mind. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140158705369&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX&refitem=230170706177&...

What is this boat?

Hi all, this is definitely no a Laser. It lloks to my untrained eye a little like an MR in shape but it is not clinker. Any ideas or is it one for the Xmas quiz? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/sailing-boat-Dinghy_W0QQitemZ140158853302QQihZ004QQcategoryZ98955QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Best Regards,...

Thanks,

I see there is both a Mader and a Tiptree currently on ebay. (see next thread down). Is there anything about these I should specifically avoid?

Best Regards,

Hi all,

I know you all be disapointed but the Harrier is now sold to a very discerning gentleman from Bath.

Now to find a Finn. Any advice?

Best Regards,

I am pretty sure Fred Flintstone did something similar. That has to be the earliest.

Small jib wanted

Hi all,

I am looking for a very small jib for one of my projects. It needs to have a foot of no more than 36 inches - more of a hankerchief really :).

Anyone have anything tucked away?

Best Regards,

Hi Alan,

I have a carbon blade which I think is off a Merlin. Looks around 25-26mm thick at the pivot and is 1015mm long. I am in Bristol if you want a look or I can photograph & mail.

Best Regards,

Hi Ed, I had some "fun" putting the spreadsheet together. I started with all the boats I could find with both old and new numbers and ran a correlation. I then had a look at outliers and as you say, Dev classes like the International Moth stood out like sore thumbs. another example was a b...

Hi, I put together an XL spreadsheet to "predict" new money handicaps from old (& vice versa). 94 comes out as 1066. For comparison, both Albacores and Scorpions had an old PY of 94 (at least in my books) and a new PY of 1066 and 1060 respectively so you are onto a winner with 1078. Ni...

Do you know what set the record? From what little I know of Emma Hamilton (photos), I would say it is capable of beating most things in the right conditions.
