Thank you Jim.That's worth knowing. The present boom is wood so I've nothing to go by. The only surplus masts I've got around the place are off the OK.

The Bowmoor club member and fixer could not attend due to personal commitments that cropped up at the last min. As nobody else wanted to take up the baton and there were only a small number of people and boats expected, it was decided to cancel. Great shame.
