I'm off out sailing today but will hunt them out later or tomorrow and let you know what I've got. I can't promise anything but how many do you need? I think I have some with fairleads and some without I will get onto it and let you know. Edit to add, I have three the same as the ones in your pictu...

I think on the Mirror we built (Bell Woodworking kit - so probably the same as the Miracle) they were not very special - a close grained pine kind of timber. Certainly not hardwood. They are supposed to add a bit of stiffness to the floor, but ultimately are sacrificial and take the knocks and wear...

miracle rubbing strip

not sure which wood is used to make the miracle rubbing strips ,need to renew one side, bits that run outside full length , what would you use, mahogany oak , other ?

On the subject of the cam cleat spring ,got two from Holt Allen who were very helpful ,they arrived today but are slight diff design which gives them an awkward spring effect in the old cleat , ill get there in the end

You also have to think about removal - might you want to take the fitting off again? Sikaflex can mean the fitting is never going to be removed without damage. For tank hatch covers on a wooden boat I might want to remove them for varnishing so would tend to use a bog standard silicone. It is just ...

If you have a budget written down on paper I'd throw it in the bin quick so not to deter you from completing what is a very satisfying way to spend your time. Yep. while the epoxy and taped seems in the bow tank are solid and tight,looks like they are the original bits etc. is there any reason to add some glass and epoxy to beef them up a bit or are they just best left alone ?

Hi, I used Sikaflex marine sealant. It has an amazing bond, and it sticks to everything.... ....so mask the area around the hatches otherwise it will be smeared everywhere. If you do use silicone sealant, I would use a glazing grade and use the best you can buy. Alot of the cheaper sealants have fi...
