Can anyone point me in the direction of how the f...

Not sure I agree that inversion is preferable to Capsize, with its danger of entrapment and damage to rigging.

I know the boat lie all day happy and wont turle unless conditions are really unfavourable. Or Im out without safety cover. No fun being in the Mersey with a G...

Re: bronze or stainless dee shackles..alternatives?

I quite like using a wooden hardwood or nylon stopper on my halyards instead of shackles. Simpler less too go wrong.

Re: bronze or stainless dee shackles..alternatives?

You need to be careful if with old Bronze shackles, they may not be have lost much of their strength and can snap with little warning. Unless you really looking for authenticity your best changing them for Stainless ones.

Re: What knot? How to lash lower shrouds to chainlinks.

What boat? Do you mean the fore stay? Most dinghies the shrouds normally have turnbuckles on them so you can apply the required tension fix the rig in a set position.

Re: Heron 99

Ed,Offered one about 2 years ago, for some reason fairly sound except the floor. I turned her down but the Commodore of LSC took her and has done fine job bringing her back to life.
