Re: Catamaran wanted

Can you get a crewing job on the front end of one, say a Dart18? No kite on these but a trapeze for the crew. Not sure of fleets down your way but check their site. There are loads about. Not sure about a Unicorn as a first cat but hey, why not? Got my Dart/Sprint 15 some 12 years ago after sailing ...

Re: Mast for an OK

Hello Nigel. I may be able to deliver to a safe house locally if this helps. So you still have the Hit. You kindly let me have a quick sail around the pond at Whitefriars last year. Had a very OK like set up with a Boyce mast, i seem to recall. The Proctor might be a good alternative on windy days a...

Mast for an OK

Hello All. The big move is almost complete but i have a complete Proctor mast left back in my rented garage in Portsmouth that i must dispose of as i've given notice to vacate. I've already brought several masts down for my old bus, so this one is FREE to whoever can collect and that MUST to be ASAP...

Re: Tour de France May 2014?

Why wait til 2014?

The OKs have their European Champs at this venue next year. Probably not going to be CVRDA ish so needless to say, me and ye olde 1211 will not be attending. Besides, it's far too north and cold.

Missing you all.

Re: Rig measurements for Gull

If Jim cannot come up trumps, my Gull has a Gunter rig .I could get any measurements you require from it perhaps ?.
It has Collar wooden masts booms etc and a really nice set of Banks sails(no kite) that were cut for the Gunter set up.

Re: Historic OK seeks new carer(!)

This boat is still very quick indeed. It's a well known story as to how it got it's name but I'll repeat it if reqiured. As already said, ease mainsheet tension and kicker and cause of that nice deep v hull, there is oodles of room to go under the boom. Just as much as a Solo and Contender. I've sai...

Re: Bough Beech 30th April

Big thanks to everyone involved in putting this event on at the club, especially the start boat crew who were great. I had a wonderful day out although my legs have been complaining ever since. I've certainly missed something here the last couple of years but the prev meets here have been in June wh...
