Saved! she's now sitting outside waiting for some bits and bobs and then she can go afloat again for the first time in nearly 30 years.

I'm in Pwllheli, and would be happy to take a look. I'm already sitting on MR 1011, it will be a future project, if I can glue the strakes back together [cascamite has let go :( ] and I know relatively little about Merlins, but I know my boats.

We used to use epsom salt sprinkled on gelcoat for our custom sailboards. Ide was that it would wear off a bit more slowly than sugar.
