Re: Dinghy insurance

The 'silver' cover does cover club racing, with the 'bronze' being social use, which concidering my cornish crabber is definatly not a race boat sounds sufficient.

Dinghy insurance

Has anybody used this insurance company? http://www.towergatemardon.co.uk it seems very cheap, 3 levels of coverage & do a 6 month option (especially for us fair weather souls) I was quoted around £35pa. here where others are asking £70+ for an enterprise.

Re: cvrda eligible??

Talking of transcontinental trailering, I am off to Sweeden to collect a 1956 V dub camper bus, had a game working out if my car would take the load / be legal / make it in one piece :? . Bus is the dream of son in law who is equally potty over VW's as we old boat owners. Have to hire a suitable veh...

Re: PETRE MILNES SKIPPER 14

Actually it sounds like a bit of a pig to sail so I thought this picture is somewhat apt.... (given the world preoccupation with mutated Swine viruses at this time.) pig.jpg [/quote] Do I recognise another member of the Cloud Apprreciation Society :?: 8) . Re: Embassy dinghy?

Embassy no. 135 late of Chippenham has now sailed down the Avon and landed in Devizes (oops, no river there, had some help from a van) then maybe appear at Shearwater. Have fun with her Ruth.

David H, Pics available, but only with a phone camera, & one old pic of her on the water in 2004.

Re: Embassy dinghy?

The one in Chippenham might be for the chop soon, too many leaks & not enough repairers, :( but may have some usefull bits left. This is unofficial at present though.

Re: Lidl again!!

Thanks for the tip off for the car covers, I have problems keeping a soft top Saab under the trees where a certain pair of pesky  pigeons sit and poop all over it. Oh yes the boat will get the second one. They do ratchet straps this week at £5.99 for 4, great, (even more to get tangled u...

Re: GRP Enerprise

OK this seems to be a no goer, only looked at it as a possible club boat, the number of 1197 was the issue no. it is a 14--- sail no which makes more sense. On the other hand if it is going free....

GRP Enerprise

Hi all, I know this is only a question on a humble enterprise, but, when were GRP Ents first made? I have been offered No. 1197 which seems very early to me, also the owner doesn't know what to ask for it, & saying make an offer. Any ideas.
