Re: MY MAIDEN! OF A SKOL MOTH!

I really must get my Skol mk 2 back on the water. Sadly the local yobs decided to use it as atrampoline and it now leaks like a sive. Unfortunately all your events are too far south for me, if ever you have one in the north of England or better still Scotland count me in.

Re: Firefly 1986 and 3 wooden tops - £130

I know the location of a wooden top firefly mast that I think would be available at a reasonable price If anybody is interested.
It is in Scotland but I am hoping to go to leigh and Lowton in a couple of weeks.

Re: Harrier sail

Thanks for the comments, I was wondering about a solo sail. Funnily enough the Harrier Plus sail is a Phantom sail which is a Fireball sail, it was this borrowing of sails for other desgins that made me wonder if the original Harrier sail was borrowed off another desgin. Might try angling the spread...

Harrier sail

I have a Harrier plus at the moment which I am enjoying sailing but finding my 11 stone rather over powered in anything above about force 2. Does anybody know anything about the standard harrier sail, is it similar to any other sail, does anybody have one that they don't want? Am I right in thinking...

Re: 19ft Merlin Rocket

The picture does only show the bow so you don't know what might have been added on. remember anything can happen on ebay although I must agree the elastic tape measure is the most likely. As for stable maybe hes a moth sailor or thats where he keeps her.

Re: Authentic Anti slip?

I have used both sand and sugar and would always use sugar in future with varnish. With paint I would rather use one of the taylor made paint additives. I have also used surf wax which works really well but looks really messy after a while and is a bit of a pain to get off when you want to clean thi...

Re: Early Int. Moth info.

Hmmm seems a bit harsh lumping the skol in with the magnum 3 there is about 10 years of developement between the to if my memory serves me right although 1115 does sound about right for a skol does that make a magnum 3 a bit of a bandit as well.

Re: Early Int. Moth info.

I have really enjoyed reading this thread. I have an old skol, can any body tell me the difference between the mk 1 and mk 2, I had a mk2 back in the 80s that I had great fun swimming around, this one seems a bit different but I am not sure, I have no idea of the number.
