Re: Bowmoor event
Hi All, I am planning to be at the Bowmoor meet but with the Pegasus as my current crew has abandoned me after a rather spectacular capsize in the 14 (anyone who has sailed a classic 14 and capsized in tidal waters will know what I mean!) So I will be looking for a foolhardy crew for the peggy, or I...

Re: Blanking caps for Fox 14
We'll have to use corks! I think they might be 7/8" BSF on Zeus K500 although the caps from Nymph K524 don't fit, too small or wrong thread, not sure yet. Both Uffa 14's and pretty close in build date. '47 and '49. I keep trying to find a nut that will screw on so I can either get some made or ...

Re: Classic Boat Insurance
Might be worth it if it is a rudder or centreboard as these run from around £350 to 500 new (Milanes)

Re: Classic Boat Insurance
I asked about insurance fully comp which I have had for my 14's but when pushed, Ed is correct, they will onl;y pay up to the value of the boat so if its worth £500 or less it's not worth getting fully comp. I am now only 3rd party because although fully comp is not much more there is no point if th...

Re: International 14 Storm Sails
Hi, I have a complete Firefly rig on Maelstrom for windy conditions, although I use the big rig for light winds. The firefly rig fits almost exactly, the mast partners are in the right place and the shrouds fit without any adjustment although the fittings in the boat are adjustable. The major proble...

Re: Classic International 14 for sale, and advise please
Hi William,
I might be able to take Negaunee off your hands and leave you with the better boat to sell, perhaps we could discuss a price?
Alternatively, I might be interested in both boats.
Chris

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection
Hi All, I have opened the bidding on I14's K500 Zeus and K347 Alarm. I am hoping to save these boats from a sorry end and I have the time and facilities to restore them. If anyone else will be bidding on them let me know and I wont bid against you, just want to make sure that they don't end up in th...

Re: Vintage Int 14 for sale
Hi Robert, sorry to hear them you are having to pass on Lancing.
The question is, should I add another 14 to my collection?
Perhaps we could discuss?
Maelstrom is going very well with her new rig and admired wherever we take her.
I will email you.
Best regards, Chris
