Re: Plywood Sealant Tape?
A Womble! brilliant, that was certainly one of the designs i thought would be using a fair bit of fibreglass tape. From the sail number K3683, it would have been built 1977-1978. Was this the Womble that was advertised for sale sometime last year? Pleased it found a good home. You will find plenty o...

Re: Plywood Sealant Tape?
Hi and welcome to the forum, and indeed the classic moth fleet. Great to hear of another one being saved! I think the tape you are looking for is fibreglass tape which is widely available as Steve says. as an example..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fibreglass-Open-Weave-Woven-Cloth-Tape-For-Polyester...

Re: Last event of the year
Can't trust the weathermen! that has to be the lesson learned from Saturday in Bristol. 10-12 mph wind promised but we had mostly 0. Baltic Wharf SC though, can always be trusted to welcome CVRDA visitors to their unique sailing experience. It was pleasing to see a good turnout of classics both home...

Re: Banbury 8th October
Thanks to all at Banbury SC for another great meeting. A slight lack of water in the pond restricted the playing field, but the Race Officer's depth sounding was spot on with the shallows marked, and I managed to keep clear of the mud all day. With a few unpredictable windshifts thrown in, we had so...

Re: Old Enterprise sail
I've got a small roll of blue sailcloth that I use for patching etc. Its about 2' wide. I might also have some well faded pieces from an old pacer jib if i can find them in the loft. Going to Hunts so i will bring what i find.

Re: Aldeburgh YC 3rd and 4th September 2016
I am hoping to do likewise, having booked a couple of touring sites for my campervan during the week. Should be in Aldeburgh by Friday I will be sailing an Int Moth as long as she survives Hunts!

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
Can you save me space for a campervan please? I will be travelling down on Saturday morning.
Bringing Dolly the Sprite for me and the Magnum7 for Tom. Should be fun as he's not raced a moth for at least 20 years!

Re: Roadford 16th -17th July
Thanks to all at Roadford for a great weekend. Good racing on Saturday, sadly no wind on Sunday morning so Alan W came up with a novel team building exercise - How many people does it take to make a Flying Fifteen fly? The answer appropriately, 15, all complaining about bad backs, plus a few more to...

Re: UnSkol gets a newbottom...
Would some righting lines fastened under the gunwales help? They seem to help on Solos which suffer also from too much side buoyancy. I have seen them anchored near the shroud points then led around to a Velcro fixing at the transom which can be pulled free. A rope step fashioned at the right length...

Re: Moth wing attachment
Ahaaaa! that's where they went. We suspected they might go to a Minisailor needing a bit more leverage  Spiderman won the other bits for a future project. The simplest mounting for the inboard end is a vertical Ali plate shaped with ears to slot the tube over. I will add a photo of the magnum ...
