Single Hander

Well, it seems that I need a single hander for events when I can't get crew... :?

I have had a few suggestions, Harrier, Hit, Finn....

If anyone has something like this looking for a good home perhaps you could contact me?

I have decided to sell Pegasus 166 as I want to concentrate my efforts on my other boats.....

She is in very good condition, ready to sail with a good trolley and trailer.

Any reasonable offer considered....

Re: Removing non-slip deck paint from grp

I seem to have 'di'solved it..... The no nonsense stripper from screwfix works ok but slowly, probably due to the cold as the boat is outside.

I will try the Wickes version next as it is a bit cheaper....

Thanks all for your help...

Re: Removing non-slip deck paint from grp

Hi, thanks for the advice. I'm hoping it's only standard international deck paint. It's flaking off and doesn't seem to be bonded to the grp. Can't really use a sander as it is in the bottom of my I14 with the stringers and fitting etc.

I will try some other strippers, cheers, Chris

Removing non-slip deck paint from grp

Does anyone know if there is a paint stripper that will take non-slip deck paint off GRP?

I have tried safe stripper (non aggressive to GRP) but it hasn't touched it!

I can't grind it off and I am reluctant to use a hot air gun...

Any ideas would be appreciated,

Chris

Re: Removing brass stews from keel?

A lot of the screws are breaking off at half the head when I try to unscrew them and the wood is getting damaged when I try to break off the other half.....

Any suggestions?

Re: Removing brass stews from keel?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

I have considered sawing through the screws along the line of the hog/keel.

What sort of saw would be best and should the boat be upside down or right side up?

Removing brass stews from keel?

Can anyone suggest a reliable way of getting the brass screws out of the keel on my Uffa 14? These are the long screws that hold the centreboard case on and they are impossible? To unscrew, usually half the slotted head breaks off and I have tried to drill off the rest of the head but often the dril...
