Re: (?) on ebay
Hi, Westie is right, it is too narrow to be a Shelley and the chines are full length unlike those on a Shelley which are only in the aft third of the hull. Although some Mk3 Shelleys had wings I think that i am right in saying that these would have been plywood box section as opposed to tramps and t...

Re: Early Int. Moth info.
David H, I have got the Yachts and Yachting report on the Moth Worlds held in New Zealand in Jan/ Feb 1981 which Dave Iszatt won sailing K3796. There is a small B&W photo with the report showing Dave going upwind and a scow KA8779 tanking downwind. I could try scanning this and sending it to you...

Hi Paul, I agree totally with David that it's a Pegasus and probably built by Fosrite Plastics. Re: Various rudder bits for sale
Hi Rupert, I got your reply to my email about the Europe rudder stock then put 2 and 2 together and realised that you were the same Rupert I had read posts from on these forums. Anyway, I am definitely interested and I am not far away in West Oxfordshire so it should be possible for me to come acros...

Re: 2 masts for sale
If the Moth mast is a Sparlight DQ2 I don't think that it would suit a Magnum 5 (or 6) as it will be far too floppy even with a prodder/spreader. To get a 17' luff fully battened Mylar sail to set properly you need to have a powerful downhaul which due to the lack of cloth stretch creates compressio...

Re: Early Int. Moth info.
Hi David et al, Much as I'd love to meet up with yourself and Ridgey tonight to look through old moth stuff, unfortunately I am a bit too far away in West Oxfordshire to make it for an evening. If any of you fancy a get together at some later date at a place and time to be mutually agreed then I wou...

Re: Early Int. Moth info.
Hello fellow enthusiasts, I have only recently discovered this forum and have been overwhelmed with feelings of nostalgia as well as relief borne of the realisation that I am not alone in having a rather sentimental attachment to some of the older classes and designs that have contributed much in th...
