Re: scow moth on the bay
If I had not already got too big for a Moth I would have gone for it, always wanted a scow as a teenager but sadly now at least four stone too heavy!

Re: Happy New Wotizit?
I been trawling and found there was one on the bay last year, at least shows what it looks like rigged and some other details. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Swallow-Dinghy-similar-to-Topper-/320857067817?nma=true&si=n%2FBQ9Kf5h6shv8ZxU3kwsoGd1m8%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l...

I demand a recount!
Sadly, I have checked my answers and I got two wrong! (Question 4, as well!)
Therefore the winner of the grand prize is Keith.

I've got cold feet
Hi all, Took the boat out today and had a pleasant sail in the sun, it never got much above freezing but I was plenty enough warm enough in my drysuit but my feet were cold. I was wearing thick socks inside the drysuit feet and wet suit boots outside. The wetsuit boots and drysuit boots have plenty ...

Re: The ideal flat bottomed boat
I always liked the idea of a scow type moth, in some ways it was a shame that moths went so narrow, high tech and expensive. There was a number of interesting designs in the early seventies I wonder if there are any plans still about. I would be up for building something similar now for the fun of b...

Please can you let us know how you get on with it, I'm tempted but the feed back on Amazon is very poor regarding the durability of the Bosch tool.

Old Solo on the bay
An old Solo on the bay, looks ok in the pictures. If I hadn't got one I'd look at this.
From the sail number it was built/registered in 1962.

Re: Enterprise repair
I agree with Rupert, I used two coats of teak oil on our garden table it looked good when I had done it but after one winter the wood was black, I sanded it off and applied two coats of varnish, two winters later it looks ok but I will have to revarnish it next year as the wood is just starting to m...
