I would like to start planning the meet at Brightlingsea. A rough guide to the number of entrants would be handy first of all. Then I think you would like a cruise on Saturday then full day of racing Sunday and a single race Monday morning. Prize giving(thanksgiving for those who didn't capsize) Mon...

This stuff is or was a popular poison in days gone by and saw off many a spouse or ex!! You need to know a chemist/pharmacist who can vouch for your good character. I was refused supply by high street pharmacies and one insisted I identify myself even though they were not going to supply me. I event...

Don't worry too much as up the river its typical Essex mud. All you will do is plough a furrow then stop and watch the tide go out leaving you with a pleasant walk ashore. On shore you will appear to be wearing knee high wellies!

For measuring areas behind curves (do not think Jordon) look up Simsons Rule on the internet. Massive formula if you can be bothered and many pleasant hour was wasted by me as a pupil surveyor working these things out. The office calculator (mechanical) had no memory so we made jottings all over the...

Sounds like you want to sail up the Colne on Saturday and stop off in Wivenhoe or Rowhedge for a pint or two. Can be an interesting hike with a barrier to shoot through. Bailers required for retun journey. I will check the tides for times etc.

Now theres an incentive to travel on Friday folks!!!!!!

Try Bishop Skinner. Can get quote on line and purchase. All that with your little mouse and a soothing glass of Xmas spirit in the other hand. Got my fleet with them. Something like £47 for a Merlin/N12/Solo

In mine the signature is part of the print so unless it is countersigned in ink then assume its part of the design.

Right then that seems like a reasonable thumbs up. Pencil sharpened and put in hand. I will make enquiries about campsite too. I guess you do not want a massed plot next to wc's and water tap! And Alan, I know we have a marvelous micro climate @ B'sea but even our Commodore can't whistle up exactly ...

Hello folks.

We at Brightlingsea would like to pencil in dates before we go to print. Do we all want to come to Brightlingsea SC. for the second bh in May 2007? I am up for it, but I would say that, wouldn't I!

Look forward to hearing from you.

I have just read through this topic and would appreciate learning what you would like to do. I will need to get us booked in for late May BH. I was hoping to promote our little org round the local clubs to see if we could tempt a few old'ns out of sheds and barns and on to the briny. Quick debate ne...

I know it sounds like a pack of fags (minute pocket money things) but its really that splendid restored craft seen at CVRDA meeting at Brightlingsea. She has been superbly restored and weighs the same as she did when built even though she has been srengthened to take modern rig loads. Original no tr...

Hi Chris.
No its not a whale, its a secret jet-ski motor just starting up. The extra weight has reduced the feeboard somewhat! 30 knots might help the self bailers work.
